The Success of Failure, Handicaps Help

The Success of Failure:The life of Jesus may be considered, in worldly standards, as the ‘greatest failure in the history of the human race’. He was born an outcast: no room at the inn. He died an outcast: out side the city gates. His ardent followers were convinced that his mission on earth had failed miserably. Gone, everything. Their hopes of earthly success, expectations of pomp and power, all gone. And then (on the third day) the resurrection. The ‘spirit of triumph’ rises from the grave.

This principle applies to everything that lives. The cells in the human body are continually dying and rising again, evolving, growing. Does’nt the giant oak spring from a tiny acorn?
But before the acorn sprouts  a shoot, or becomes the giant oak it must first be buried in the earth and ‘die’. Then out of the death of the acorn comes the life of the great oak.

This strange drama is being played out in our lives everyday. Each success we gain is the triumph over some failure, of obstacles crushed, of adversity defeated.

Handicaps Help:
Robert Boyle (the famous chemist) stammered so badly that he decided to make up for it with his brilliant scientific research.
Helen Keller, blind, deaf and dumb, became a university graduate, an author and the rest is history.
Turner, the famous painter, was the son of a barber.
Edison sold news papers to earn a living.
Chrysler was a labourer.
Firestone was a junior clerk.
Eleanor Powell was sent to a school for dancing by her mother.
Jean Arthur joined an academy school for actors.
And we can go on and on….Remember this too will pass!
