“Am I prepared to invest myself into what I believe will succeed”?

These are some of the valued comments I received on the 1872 - Rules for Teachers post.

I love it - thanks for the levity and the reminder of how much things have changed. We need a revival in education in America for sure. Parent's need to take back control and tell the teachers unions to go away.

Sorry to say this, but our entire public education system has been taken over by Socialists. The only remaining hope for most is Home Schooling!

Hi Mercutio. These are excellent rules for teachers. Great post. Shared for you.

Thanks Mercutio too bad these rules an not enforced today we wouldn`t have many teachers and we would be responsible for our children`s education like it should be.
I taught school for 5 years back in the 70's. Did you notice the warning about having a shave, etc. Thank you for sharing Mercutio!

James , Harley I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did too, the shaving part brought a smile, but there is no denying the quality that the teachers brought with them. The paradigm shift happend in the last 20+ years, all the 'rating' and assesment happened and 'numbers' replaced quality !

Thank you for your comments, and I think we should reassess where our 'numeric evaluation' ends and 'humane evaluation' begins!. Education for living and for making a living!

This triggered off a new line of thinking – are we aware that we are unconciously leading/guiding our children by our day to day (re) actions ? Can we reassess our own priorities and commitments towards our children ? Are we satisfied to leave behind a legacy for them or would we put ‘profits before people’ in our efforts to leave them an inheritance.?

I am so intrigued by the wonderful connection, in our thought pattern, that we all share while we remain blissfully unaware of it! Almost all were unanimous in that our ‘education’ system needed over-hauling, the question I ask myself is: “Am I prepared to invest myself into what I believe will succeed”? The answer is an emphatic –Yes! These are the two basics I try not to compromise on.
In their infancy and ‘tender’ years: Unconditional support and acceptance.
In teenage years:Unconditional support and acceptance+value addition- live by example, now they understand!

What has this to do with Home Business?

Remember it is your business, It must be something that you can ‘live’ by.

Make good use of the time and resources that are made available to you. Live in the ‘Now’

Remember what’s not good for you is not good for your Client/Customer.

Most important of all is to drop the: ‘What’s in it for me’.

It has to be as consistent, each day every day get your to-do list done to the extent that you almost forget yourself.
