A man raced down the hospital steps one rainy day and jumped into a passing bus with a remark 'what a beautiful day it is' Everyone scowled under dripping hats, as the driver sneered 'you must be mad, mister, to call this a beautiful day'.

Most often than not we miss out on the amazing 'world' around us. We look and look and yet not see. Just the front/back yard can throw up some startling revelations. This morning, standing on the porch sipping my cup of tea, I watched this large bird majestically strut across the entire length of the boundary wall. Black wings and brown breasted, yellow streaks across the eyes, head held high, slightly tilted to the left, reminded me of some kind of uniformed soldier marching across, or a proud officer inspecting his troops. Amazing, refreshing, reassuring the words of Browning "God's in His heaven, all's right with the world". What a wonderful way to start the day, played out right here in front of me. 

For some unexplainable reason the last two days have been rather 'low key' and as this scene was played out before me I bounced back with renewed hope and anticipation for another fruitful day to unfold.
