Lick the spoon of life.

When a prosperous business man was interviewed by the press, one probing reporter asked, “Can you tell us why you are such a success while your brother is a total failure” This was the answer:

"When we were little children, Tom being the youngest was the family pet, and got the best of everything. If jam was served he got an extra helping, and so with the pudding. We others got only a limited serving. Soon I got into the habit of making the most of whatever little I got,by licking the spoon – whhether it had jam or honey or pudding".

This practice continued in later life.

“Tom began to find things getting difficult after our
parents died. He had been so used to wasting things because he had them in
abundance that he lost the art of making the most of what he had.”

The seret of success : Lick the spoon of life!

Frivilous Fish

The man had been fishing all morning without getting so much as a bite. At last he pulled Up something, it was a tiny minnow. He would have thrown it back into the stream, but today he placed it carefully by his side in the basket – it might bring him more luck. An elderly woman had been watching him from a nearby bench. Now she stepped up and said sharply:’You should be ashamed of yourself. Just imagine keeping that tiny fish, as if you were likely to use it.’ The man looked at her scornfully. What did she know about fishing or fisherman’s luck. Slowly, he answered her: ‘Madam you should take a lesson from that little fish’, he said ‘if he had kept his mouth shut he would not have got into trouble’.!

Very amusing, these fishing tales, here is another good one. Two men went fishing and for some time did’nt get a bite. Then a little boy came along. Soon he pulled out a cunning roach about a foot long; but he threw it back into the water. The men looked on with envious glances. Then he caught an 18 inch pike, this he also threw back.”Why do you throw them back, Sunny’? one of the men asked. “Well,” said the youngster casually, “we’ve only got a six-inch frying pan”. (Something we can learn?)
Fish have enriched, both, our lives and our tables, our litratue even music: listen to Bing Crosby’s Swinging on a star.
“To fool the people is his only thought, and though he’s slippery he still gets caught;
But then, if that sort of life is what you wish, you may grow up to be a fish.”
Some (strange but true) Fishy facts :
A fish called the Climbing Perch (Climbing Gourami) native to sout east Asian countries can ‘climb’ out of water and walk short distances and up trees.
The Flying Fish rises about six feet above the water and can fly upto a hundred feet using its long pectoral fins as wings.
The Electric Eel can produce an electric shock from organs situated in its tail that can kill small fish and animals. (I watched ‘Monsters of the deep’ on discovery that had the narrator track down an electic eel that had killed a young man of a village in Indonesia.)
Fishy Phrases:
To fish in troubled waters
Fishing for compliments.
Having more fish to fry (having more unfinished business)
I can assure you that you would’nt be fishing in troubled waters if you fish with SFI and me.
You'll have a lot more fish to fry, without fishing for compliments, you can be sure!!
Take a hold of your future and sign up now you'll be glad you did.

How to enjoy your work and life.

Believing that his seniority right had been ignored, a senior teacher went to the principal demanding to know why a younger man had been promoted to a position to which he was entitled. He complained that this was unjust, as his 20 years of experience had been ignored.
'There has been no injustice done to you' explained the principal. 'You really cannot boast of 20 years of experience. All you have is one year's experience repeated 20 times!

This statement could be applied to many of us. But I want you to take a look, read, rate this before we move on to better -ways-to-work to bring back the enthusiasm and enterprise:
Do you want to work for 40 years or more to make $40,000 a year or less just so you can retire on 40% of what wasn't enough in the first place?
Imagine owning a profitable home business that you could start today WITHOUT:
- Technical know-how,
- Large capital investment or overhead,

Is that enough to feed your enthusiasm and fire your imagination? Remember the story of the three stone masons working on building the new cathedral? When asked what they were doing,
The first one said: Im earning a living.
The second remarked: Im chipping stone blocks
While the third announced with glowing pride: Im building the house of God.!

What is your attitude to your work? Do you look at it as drudgery, monotonous, mundane? or is your work filled with romance and technicolor, in the knowlege that you are helping to build a nation and leaving a rich legacy to posterity?
Talking to a friend, a cashier, on pay-day as I casually picked up one of the envelopes I noticed the grimmy, worn-out currency notes inside and remarked: I would'nt be too happy about taking that envelope home.
I then explained how he could imitate our office cashier who always asked for new bills from the bank and if we asked for it he gave us a part of our salary in crisp small bills. My cashier friend took the advice and now talks about how happy the office folks are, especially the women, to receive their salary in crisp, clean and convenient to use bills.

In every job there are two classes - the plodder and the perfectionist.
The pedagogue, drives facts into the pupils head, a teacher trains them to gain wisdom and knowlege using their intelligence. The photo-take-outer clicks as soon as the object is on the view-finder, a photographer calculates, light, distance, timing, position before taking a single shot. A fiddler scrapes off a tune on his violin, a violinist creates enchanting melodies and divine music.

Whatever be your work, stone-cutter, sculptor, quack, doctor, surgeon, quill-driver,clerk, clown or comedian, you can add www.sfi4.com/12392488/FREE and become more interesting, enthusiastic and imaginitive to your Clients/customers..Dont forget more profitable to yourself, your family, community..wish you much success!!

If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!

If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!
At a banquet in Washington, Wellington Koo the Chinese diplomat, was seated next to a smart-alec journalist who remarked: Likeee soupee? And laughed at his own joke. Ambassador Koo kept his cool, bided his time, said nothing. Later when called upon to make a speech, he delivered an address in flawless English. As he sat down beside his companion the Chinese turned good-humouredly to the red-faced journalist and asked: Likeee Speecheee?
Allan Finn narrates this story in his collection, I wish I hadnt said that. So today, tomorrow, and everyday after remember If you have nothing nice to say don’t say it.
Here are some Gems of Wisdom.
Men who have much to say use the fewest words.
In killing time, see that you don’t murder opportunity.
When there is a ghost of a chance, never give up until you give up the ghost.
Wht you do tomorrow will never make up for what you lost today.
Tact is the act of making the other fellow feel more important than he is.
Nearly all men can stand adversity; but if you want to test a mans character, give him power.
Its only when I want to hurt someone that I need power, for everything else love is sufficient.

"The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun."
-Napoleon Hill
Author Frank Scully was a cripple forced to spend his many years in bed, yet he found time, energy and courage to write many book and articles which were lapped up by the press. When Gloria Swanson asked him how he managed to write so much when in bed here’s what
He said: After a few days of illness, the patient has to decide whether he is going to be alive or dead. Since I am labelled an invalid I wake up each morning and look up the obituary column of the local newspaper. If my name does’nt appear among the dead, I start planning out the days work. In my enjoyment of hours of creative work, I forget my illness and also have plenty to show at the end of the day.
AJ Cronin was a medical doctor who was froced to take a long rest-cure. He decided to spend his time writing, something he had never done, yet his first novel Hatters Castle became a runaway success. Cronin gave up doctoring and took to full-time writing as a profession.
Frank Scully says: you’re not really crippled unless your mind is also in a splint.
Whatever the disappointments, failures, losses etc., you might have had in the past month, let the quotes above inspire you to new opportuinity, infuse new impetus to begin the new month, today with renewed energy, vision and growth that follows. Toot your talent, Dont blow your horn

The codfish lays 10,000 eggs the homely hen lays one,
The codfish does'nt cackle to tell us what she's done.
And so we scorn the codfish, the homely hen we prize-
which demonstrates to you and me it pays to Advertise! - Unknown.

Many of us fail to realise that it pays dididends to advertise our qualities and capabilities, just as it pays a manufacturer to present his/her products with fanfare and neonsigns. There is on rule that nust be observed "Tell the truth". Telling a lie is braging not advertising. On the other hand not telling people what you really have is as good as not having. Toot your talent.
We are ordinary folks like the homely hen, but with a streak of genius in imitating the homely hen. We cannot cackle - it would sound like a croak, but we can toot our own horn, so lets do it. Toot your talent.
A friend of mine had a shhelf full of joke books, but I've never heard him relate a single joke. "What do you do with these jokes, Bertie? I asked him one day '"Laugh at them" he answered. "Pity" I remarked, "Whats pitiful about it"/ he asked in surprise. "That you did'nt pass them on, Bertie" I explained and he agreed to try out the experiment. We met the next day. :Works well" he beamed "the lunchroom was never so noisy" "never had so much fun before, myself" The fun is mutually infectious. What ever it is 'toot your talent'
It is sometimes irksome not to see SFI 'blowing their trumpet' but 'tooting their horn thru' their 1 million affiliates.
Starting out with just 1 product we've come a long way with our presence in 190 countries and more than 80,000 products in TripleClicks our store.
They've been around since 1998, built up a strong base over the last 15 years, have a A+ rating with BBB.
All this achieved without 'blowing their trumpet' just tooting their talent pool. Now anyone signing up can do so with peace of mind  brought about by associating with a proven, debt-free organization with a long, successful history.
What are you still waiting for check it out here:  http://www.sfi4.com/12392488/first

A fortune for the future.

When Mary Garden, the opera singer, was at the height of her career, she was earning a lot of money, but was constantly bothered by her father often for large amounts of money. Mary never refused her father's requests, though she sometimes complained they seemed somewhat unreasonable, for her father was neither a spendthrift or a gambler. But his stock reply was that he needed the money for a 'special project'. She left it at that. He was her father after all who was she to doubt his wisdom.
During the depression, like thousands of other Americans, Mary lost her entire fortune in the stock market crash. Then her father died, and she learnt from her lawyer that he had left a large bank accout in her name. He had saved every cent she had given him, for her future security. A fortune for the future.
God does the same with us. He tenderly plans a fortune for the future for each one of us.
Sometimes the demands our chosen business makes on us seem hard at times often unreasonable. Yet later on, when we learn the tips/tools and tricks we see how carefully it was planned for our welfare. Our mentors do these things, and we've got to trust their better judgement in planning A fortune for the future.
For me,SFI has been very demanding the last few months, I continue to invest in it every month to retain my EA2 rank, so my standing order remains a constant. Purchases from Tripleclicks are items for everyday use that  give me the extras I need by way of Versa Points.
$29 for the 100 TC Credits =1200 VP (EA2 requires 1500 points) the Triple Clicks credits also pay for the items of purchase so its like eat the cake and keep it. The rest of the VP come from the everyday to-do-list (10 to complete 10 simple tasks each day)
Using the same TC credits to bid I may clinch a great deal on Penny auctions.
If I ned to turn clutter into cash I use the same TC to list my items on my own 'Garage Sale' (1 TC per listing)
Talk about optimising!
No you dont have to take my word for it, if you must invest, you need to trust, and what better way can I suggest than that you sign up, its free, No obligation and see for yourself. A fortune for the future with Secure Future International.

Brevity is best.

Once while Charles Lamb was delivering a lecture, a loud hiss was heard form the back of the auditorium. An embarrassing silence followed: but Lamb did'nt turn a hair as he said "There are only three things that hiss - a goose, a snake and a fool. Come out and be identified!"
Brevity is the soul of wit, and short speeches often create a more lasting and favourable impression than a wordy discourse Recently, a well known speaker visiting Brooklyn was asked to address the gathering at a tea party. He instinctively felt that the people would like to hear him, but would prefer  if he was brief. He started by saying: "I believe that three things are necessary to make a public speaker popular - he must be tall so that he can be seen by everyone, Loud that he can be heard by everyone, and brief that he will be liked by everyone". Then he concluded, "I want to be liked by everyone". There were loud cheers as he resumed his seat.
At a public dinner hosted in honor of a visiting dignitary, the local orator was placed last on the list of speakers to allow for a good finale to the intellectual fare. The earlier speakers had dragged on at such length that the groans were audible when the President announced, 'Mr. Smart will now give us his address'. Mr. Smart rose, cleared his throat, and said: "Ladies and Gentlemen, my address is 36 Warden Road, Brooklyn, New york" He sat down to the sheers of all.
Brevity is best, 'if you have nothing nice to say, dont say it'  But Kate Wiggin's recipe for article writing 'takes the cake'.
Take 2 ounces of talent, with commonsense the size of an egg, add one ounce knowlege of human nature. Put all into the mortar of experience, pound well with  the pestle of discretion. Add one pint of sentiment, one gill of wit, and a shade of sadness. Strain again six months later and discard the sediment.
Season, Garnish and serve with enthusiasm!!
I decided to keep it even shorter: Aim High, Dream Big. You guessed right that is SFI : Aim High, Dream Big.
